A Need Answered, the Good News Spread
Last weekend I was staying in Edinburgh. My friend and I were were going to The Edinburgh Yarn Festival, which is everything to do with knitting, crochet etc. We didn’t have tickets but I had a friend with one complimentary ticket available, which she was going to hand over at the entrance. We would be one ticket short, but thought we might buy one at the door.
There was quite a crush of folk waiting to go in. Suddenly, a complete stranger said to us “have you got a ticket?” We told her we had one coming and she said “I have another, would you like it?” I remembered I had received two pens from Christine the Thursday before, so asked if she would accept a ‘thank you’ gift and gave her one. She thanked me and read out what was written on it “what is Jesus doing?” She said it is a good question and thanked me again as we parted.
Our need on the day was met by a stranger, and the stranger took away a pen guiding her to where she might find answers to her questions.
